Service under guarantee
As per LAMY’s guideline, two year guarantee is given from sale date on all material and production faults. Natural wear is excluded. This guarantee covers manufacturing defect or mechanical failure such as a loose clip, a mal-functioning mechanism, loose parts which originally were smelted or firmly stuck and it will be remedied either by replacement or by repair free of cost within the warranty period of two years from the date of purchase against copy of Invoice and warranty card.
However, free replacement or repair will not be applicable for the defect or damage caused to the product by improper use, improper alteration or dismantling or product is damaged accidently or due to mishandling like problems due to using refills and / or ink other than LAMY; external damage like stains, scratches or marks left after hitting / banging the pens; using solvents or any other kind of chemicals on LAMY products. In such case, estimates will be provided by LAMY Service Centre for confirmation from the customers in respect of charges applicable for repair or for replacement of spare parts.
LAMY Service Centre in India will not be able to repair the products that are either discontinued by LAMY or its premium products of Vintage models. It will be necessary to send such products to LAMY H.Q. at Germany. Subject to availability of spares for such products, estimates for repair will be provided for approval of the customers. The costs of repairs, courier charges and re-import charges will be borne by the customers.
